For the time being, this site is only available in French, but that should not prevent you from having a look round. To do that, you can register, whoever you are, youngsters, parents, friends, teachers… As soon as you register, you will be given a « nickname » (pseudo) which will give you access to our forum and enable you to take part.
This site has been produced by the Fondation Jérôme Lejeune, www.fondationlejeune.org , which on seeing the massive expansion of the Internet has decided to adapt the medium so that mentally handicapped people can enjoy it. Planete 21 is a fun educational site for information, communication, amusement and to learn how to surf on the web.
It has been designed and produced in conjunction with trisomic and mentally deficient youngsters and adults, parents, teachers, doctors and psychologists. The content is provided by mentally deficient people, their friends and those in charge of the site.
The site includes 3 different environments, « my village », « my town », and « my large town », each containing the same sub-headings: « my friends », « my house », « my school », « my stadium », and « my travels ». If you do not speak French we recommend you visit « my friends » with the forum and photo gallery.
